|Dragon Heart is an
with a fabulous pedigree. Not only is he a Master Champion himself, but three of
his grandparents are Master Champions. In fact, his immediate pedigree
includes nine finished champions and many other excellent goats that have
excelled in the show ring and in milk production. His sire is the
offspring of two of the most outstanding goats ever from our two favorite Nigerian
herds, Twin Creeks and Piddlin Acres. See Lost Valley Felicity in the
Lost Valley herd. She is the same breeding as Dragon Heart's dam, Macey. A
buck they owned and used a lot, Piddlin Acres Cajun Music, is the same
breeding as Dragon's sire, Disco Dance. Piddlin Acres Shortchange who was
retained and used in that herd was also the same breeding as Disco
Dragon Heart is a very dairy buck. He is very long bodied, with a level, naturally uphill topline. You don't have to set him up. He stands that way naturally. In fact, his topline is his most striking feature. It is just awesome. Because of his naturally uphill stance, several breeders and judges have commented that he has one of the best toplines they have seen. Dragon Heart stands on very correct feet and legs all the way around. He has nice width and depth of body. He has incredibly loose, thin, pliable dairy skin with very flat, open ribbing. He has super tight shoulders and very sharp withers. He has a very correct front end assembly that is something judges always mention his kids having. Dragon Heart is a very stylish buck with excellent dairy character and angulation. He comes from a long line of top quality, show winning goats with fabulous mammary systems as you can see by his pedigree. His dam, Macey, was the NDGA 2000 National Champion Dry Doe. Her second freshening resulted in a nearly perfect mammary system. She was highly sought after when the Green Gate herd was being sold. Unfortunately to the best of my knowledge, nobody was ever able to purchase her or even find her papers to be able to show her again or register any more kids out of her. It is such a shame, because this doe would have been a Master Champion and a Permanent Grand Champion easily.
We love our kids, grand kids, and great grand kids out of Dragon Heart. They all have his wonderful dairy character, incredible topline, and super correct front end assembly. They are all doing well in the show ring also. See these kids on our Champions page, some of which were retained in our herd: Hotter Than Mojave, 1x RsCH Senior Doe; Cinnamon Cinder, 1xGCH Jr, 1x RsCH Jr, 1x RsCH Dry doe; Dragonfly, 1x GCH Jr, 1x RsCH Jr; PGCH Lord Of The Rings, 3x GCH Jr, 5x GCH Buck, 3x RsCH Buck, 1x National Champion Buck, 1x National Champion Junior Buck, 1x Sire and Son winner; PGCH Born To Be Wild, 1x National Champion Buck, 7x GCH Buck, 1x RsCH buck, 1x RsCH Jr, 1x Sire and Son winner; Legolas, 1x RsCH Buck; Eowyn, 1x RsCH Jr; Rhiannon, 1x RsCH Jr; Pink, 1x GCh Jr, 1x RsCH Jr; Also see theses grand kids on our Champions Page: Once In A Blue Moon, 1x RsCH Jr, 2x GCH Dry Doe; and Goldberry, 1x RsCH Jr; and Sugarplums, 1x GCH Jr.
Dragon Heart has been bred to most of the does in our herd and has had a wonderful positive influence on our herd. See these daughters we retained: Cinnamon Cinder, Dragonfly, and Dragon's Kiss, and these grand daughters: Once In A Blue Moon, Goldberry, Brandy, Blueberry Hill, Summer Breeze and Cherry Garcia. We a son MCH/PGCH CHW DH Born To Be Wild.
At seven years old, Dragon Heart completed his championship with NDGA becoming a Permanent Grand Champion as well. He has two finished champion offspring , PGCH CHW Lord Of The Rings and MCH/PGCH CHW Born To Be Wild, who were both also National Champion Bucks with NDGA.
